Why we use essential oils instead of synthetic fragrances

Why we use essential oils instead of synthetic fragrances

When it comes to scent in pet care, not all fragrances are the same.

Synthetic fragrances are commonly used because they are inexpensive and long-lasting. However, they are often made up of multiple components, including solvents, which can be harsh on the skin. In both humans and animals, fragrance is one of the most common causes of irritation and allergic reactions.

For dogs, this matters even more.

A gentler approach

Dogs have more sensitive skin than humans, and a much stronger sense of smell. Strong, lingering fragrances can be overwhelming, and in some cases, may contribute to discomfort or skin reactions.

For this reason, we chose not to use synthetic fragrances in our formulations.

Instead, we use small amounts of carefully selected essential oils to create a light, natural scent. The focus is always on keeping it subtle - never overpowering.

Keeping things simple

Not every dog needs scent.

That’s why we also offer completely fragrance-free options, designed for dogs with sensitive skin or those who simply do better with fewer ingredients.

Because when it comes to skin, simpler is often better.
